takes to catch the ball. This toy is easy to make and will
keep you and your friends laughing for hours.
To make a ball catcher you need:
a paper cup
22 inches of string
a ball point pen
glue
tin foil
an empty thread spool
n
Directions:
1. Poke- a silrall hole in the bottom of the cup with a
pen.
2.Ti'e a large knot at one end tat -the string.
3. Thread the string up through the boltso the knot is on
the
outside of the cup.
4. Glue the knot to the Sup.
5. While the glue is drying, crush some tin foil into a small.
ball.
IL Tie the ball on to the other end of the string.
7. Glue the spool over the knot on the bottom of the cup.

There are two events
up -coming which are
worthy of your at-
tendance.
This Saturday, Sep-
tember 13 is the GALA
POOL PARTY with a
Beef Dinner followed by
dancing. This is really a
united effort in spon-
sorship involving the
Town of Clinton, con-
cerned citizens and the
combined efforts of the
Clinton and Area Service
Clubs.
The other event, maybe
a' little" less glamorous,
but just as much fun, will
be the Mdpster Bingo
scheduled for Monday
evening September 15 at 8
p.m. under the. Clinton
grandstand. Sponsored
by the Kinsmen Club of
Clinton the proceeds will
go to a most worthy cause
- the Boy Scout Jamboree
