The Blyth Summer
Festival will offer
reserved seating at the
time of sale in the 1981
season, Sheila Richards,
president of the board of
directors of the Blyth
Centre for the Arts an-
nounced recently.
The present system of
seat numbers assigned on
the night of the per-
formance was designed
to accommodate patrons
who wished to purchase
tickets from outlets in
their area. However, a
dramatic and un-
precedented increase in
audience during the. 1980
season has made the
present system cum-
bersome, and changes
will be made to ensure
better service to Festival
patrons in future seasons.
The management of the
Blyth Summer Festival
wishes to thank patrons
for their support over the
years and for their
patience with the present
system.
Patrons are also
reminded that reserved
seats at time of sale are
available for the Winter
Series of the Blyth Centre
for the Arts, and that
patrons should purchase
their subscriptions early
to ensure the best choice
of seats. Series ' pur-
chasers will have first
choice of seats as in-
dividual tickets for single
events will not go on sale
until October 1.
