The London Area requires a mature and highly
motivated individual for the position of Field
Worker. Appltcants must have proven verbal and
written communication skills and ability to inter-
pret and explain legislation in order to assume the
duties of interviewing applicants or recipients of
provincial farnlly benefits and other ministry
programs, conducting investigations, maintaining
case records and preparing various activity reports.
To service the assigned caseload effectively, the in-
cumbent must possess Initiative, sound
organizational skills and be detail oriented. A
working knowledge of community services is
reglurred in order to provide recipients with prac-
tical information on budgeting, housing and other
identified needs.
LOCATION: HURON COUNTY
QUALIFICATIONS:
A detailed knowledge or demonstrated ability to
dcquire a detailed knowledge of family benefits and
ated legislation. A demonstrated understanding
o financial transactions such al mortgages, in-
surance policies, etc. The ability to organize,
priorixe and manage a large caseload. The ability to
work under firossur•e of various deadlines and to
work both independently and as a member of a
team. Working knowledge of community social ser-
vice agencies. (The possession of a valid Ontario
driver's license and language skills aro other essen-
tial requirements of the position.)
In preparation for the decentralization of the in-,
come Maintenance programmes to the Arvin Office,
candidates will also be assessed on their ability to
make decisions and to calculate accurately allowan- .
to changes (i.e. arrears, overpayments).'
