The Holmesville slo- pitch team was entered in the Sportsfest tour- nament in Goderich and lost to the Goderich Bulldogs on Friday night. They also lost to Kin- cardine on Saturday. _ .. The play is currently running at .the . BLyth Summer Festival and has been well-received by critics and audiences alike. There has been interest in the play from both Ontario Hydro and anti-nuclear groups. The tour will take place" in March and April of 1981 and will possibly include a Tor onto Hui. St. Sam Of The Nuke Pile is set in and around the,Bruce Nuclear Prower Development .in Kin- cardine. Maclean's Magazine said of the play: "St Sam is a factual tour de force in the tradition of Shaw and Brecht that teaches the audience more about nuclear reactors than they will learn in a lifetime. yet it manges to thoroughly entertain at the same time." Doug Bale of the Free Press said, "a first-rate production... Ted Johns has written a play that strikes universal themes." Ted Johns is also the author of The ,Death Of The Donnellys, which played •at Blyth in 1979 and The School Show which premiered at Blyth in 1978. The School Show, in which Mr. Johns is the sole performer, made an extremely successful' tour in the spring of 1979. It played to full houses throughout Southwestern Ontario and ran in Toronto for three weeks. Mr. Johns is also known for his performance in He Won't Come In From The Barn in Toronto and at the Blyth Summer Festival in 1977. St. Sam Of The Nuke Pile has two per- formances left at the Blyth Summer Festival on August 28 and August 29.
