We're back from our
holidays in Saskatchewan
and Alberta, which had
both celebrated 75 years
in Confederation. They
are the two youngest, yet
perhaps ' the two
pr'\ovinces with the
greatest potential in
future years.
Back here at home, our
Legion Branch is still one
of the most active
organizations in our area.
It was "Flea Market
Day" in our..:. Branch
parking lot Saturday as
the Legion and Ladies
Auxiliary combined
talents for the day. It was
a successful venture, as
the Branch netted over
$450 which is destined for
the Building
Improvement Fund.
Besides the table rental
income, many of the
people who renteditables
donated all their
proceeds to the Branch.
Many thanks to all those
who provided .articles for
the sale and a thank you
to all members who
donated their time and
talent at the market.
Our Pipe Band is back
again in the news as they
and our Color Party
participated in the CNE
parades on both Wed-
nesday and Saturday
wit the massed band.

Members now have fuii
voting privileges. They
may also be elected to
any office in the
executive board. Our
Branch, to say the least,
is indeed' pleased with
this change in status.
