After dark,
Others wait til daylight
To visit our park
The cans were emptied
At eight o'clock
By ten a.m.
They were full to the top
Where did these three
cars go?

The `fros' just made the
circle around
So rotting garbage filled
"the `Square'
Clan Gregor was again in
disrepair!
They must have forgot
the pickup was Monday
It was left to reek right
thru Sunday
Residents here
That use the drums
Should stick their gar-
bage
Up their bums!
Visitors here
That show no class
Could shove their refuse

Colin Chandler.
They were amonst the
5,550 square and round
dancers attending the 2nd
National Canadian
Square and Round Dance
Convention in Ottawa last
August 7-8-9.
While there, they
danced on Parliament
Hill and earned a special
badge to commemorate
it. The dance followed the
Changing of the Guard
,
ceremony which takes
place every morning
during • the summer in
Canada's capital.
The Convention
provided non-stop dan-
cing from 2 to 5p.m. and
from 8 to 11 p.m. for each.

Blyth Festival's popularity•� everincreasing
Attendance at the Blyth
Summer Festival is 122
percent of last year's
attendance at this point,
Keith Roulston, *ad-
ministrator of the
Festival announced
recently.
"The 'average at-
tendance at a per-
formance is up by 60
people a night," Mr.
Roulston said. "And the
phone is still ringing off
the hook."

Mr. Roulston advised
holders of vouchers for
the season to make plans
to attend the plays soon,
as some dates are sold
Out now, and all weekend
going quiickly. Vouchers
MUST be exchanged for
tickets to a particular
performance well in
advance,, and reser-
vations pan be made at
the Blyth box office by
phone,nail or in person.
Vouchers can also be
exchanged at any , ticket irestaurants or at The

Over 200 callers and
leaders, from all over the
world took part, volun-
teering their services and
offering every level of
square and round dan-
cing. Delegations were
present from Australia,
,Great Britain, West
Germany, Saudi Arabia
and from many of the
United States.
Canada's lst National
was held in Edmonton in
1978 and Maritime
dancers are now
preparing for the 3rd in
Halifax in 1982.

Sunday services at the
Bayfield Baptist Church
were fully attended with
a capacity crowd t the
morning service.
For both service the
Pastor, Rev. Le _Shiel,
continued in his series of,
sermons entitled "Be not
ashamed of Jesus", using
.Proverbs 29: 25 as his
main text.
