No changes i act
About 40 people from
across Huron County
were told lost week that
other~ than writing letters
to their mernber of
parliament, there was
little they Gould do to
change the recent
wrinkles in the Liquor
Lt epee Act as it applies
to Special Occasion.
Permits.
Bruce Evans of the
Liquor Licencing Board
of Ontario told the 40
people gathered at
Vanastra last Wednesday
that they would have to
following the new
guidelines set down for
maximum,, charges for a
drink under a special
permit.
Many service clubs
have said that the
--m-a-x i4 u -n ---a-1-1 e4, 85-
cents per mixed drink,
doesn't allow them to
make any profit, but Mr.
Evans said the new rule
.sloes not apply to fund
raising events which
have received permission
£ram the LLBO 30 days in
advance of .the event.
The 90 minute meeting.
was sponsored by
