At 97, she spends her

house.
.The. committee
members have found
their families had to be
very understanding while
they worked on the book.
They remember their
dining rooms being
covered in paper and
pictures and remarks
about being glad when
the book .was published so
mother would be free to
get something done
again.
"Volunteer service has
sometimes made a
community," says
Marian Zinn who has ,
worked on a history of the
north-west part of •Ash-
field previously.
"For 'the amount of
work` and time spent on
the project, we could
make a great deal for
ach page of the book, if
we were being paid ac-
cordingly," she remarks.
