However, just lately there's been a real dearth of the newsy items which you either phone or bring in. That's the "talk" that really makes the colurrin, not my rantings and ravings. Thank you. +++ A treat for band lovers - upcoming this Friday evening - August 1 at 7:30 p.m. the Clinton Legion Pipe Band will be playing on the Library Park lawn. There will be a -draw for "Half aPork." Clinton has just cause to be very proud of its pipe band 'with a record of - having taken part in the famous" Tournament of Irefge"s"par'ad'e"and having appeared. at the`Edin- • burgh: Tato, , Because of the splendid showing the. band members trade at Pasadena three years ago - they carne . away with a standing invitation to return - and they are going to do just that, This year *.ill once again see the Ontario Massed Legion Pipes and Drums join the Rose Parade. +++ Terry Fox, the one legged runner who has won the admiration of everyone across this wide land, may have left our district and our headlines , but his run is still going on.
