The Burgess family hail' from Alberta and stay with Mr, and Mrs. Gordon Burgess in Vanastra. At the pond, the birds, duck, deer, yak and highland cow thoroughly enjoy any visits, but don't forget your bread to feed them when you visit. Rev. Kenneth Knight conducted service in Carmel Presbyterian Church on Sunday. The church service will be discontinued until August 10th while Rev. Knight is on vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Corbett were hostesses at their . home on Sunday when they entertained their families -to dinner, it being the occasion of the former's birthday. Those attending were Mr, and Mrs. Ross Corbett and Jeff, M. and Mrs. Steve Corbett', Mr. and Mrs. Al Corbett and family, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Chaffe and family, Joey Chaffe and friend Mitchell. Mr. and.. Mrs. Don Mousseau celebrated their 25 wedding an- niversary at the Pine Ridge Chalet on Saturday evening which was largely attended by many neighbours and friends. A dinner for _ family --and friends was served to Guests were greeted by the host and -hostess who received many congratulations and best wishes. Dancing was enjoyed to music by Joe Overholt's orchestra. Mr.. and Mrs. ,Jack McLaughlin and sons Raymond and Stuart of Glasgow,. Scotland were recent visitors with -Mr. ,.and Mrs. 'Arthur Slade and Glenn, whom they have not seen in 21 years. Mr. McLaughlin and Mr. Slade were employed by the same firm in Toronto. Mr. and Mrs. Garnet Mousseau of RidgetoWn visited last week with . relatives and friends here and attended the .-.for- mer's brother andesister- in-law's 25th wedding anniversary. Bible school; __ There was an ex- ceptionally good at- tendance at the annual vacation Bible school held in the United Church this past week for the Hensall District, when about 118 students and staff .attended the school which . had as its theme "Jesus Our Lord".
