A popular spot to visit anytime of year is Les Jervis' pond on County Road 31,
just north of Holmesville, Ten -year-old Glen Burgess and his dad Paul visit the
wildlife sanctuary every year on their vacation in Ontario. The Burgess family
hail' from Alberta and stay with Mr, and Mrs. Gordon Burgess in Vanastra. At
the pond, the birds, duck, deer, yak and highland cow thoroughly enjoy any
visits, but don't forget your bread to feed them when you visit. (News -Record

Bible school; __
There was an ex-
ceptionally good at-
tendance at the annual
vacation Bible school
held in the United Church
this past week for the
Hensall District, when
about 118 students and
staff .attended the school
which . had as its theme
"Jesus Our Lord".
The Vacation School
opened on Monday
morning and continued
throughout the week with
sessions held each
morning from 9 a.m. to
11:30 a.m. Scott Jesney
was in charge of property
set-up assisted by Darren
Moir, Florence and Glenn
Slade . conducted the
registration. •
