This is the weekend of Bayfield's 'famous rummage sale at the arena on Friday evening. Proceeds go to the maintenance of Pioneer Park. The bass fishing is not yet up to par, but Saturday morning Blaine 'Hereford Head' Stephenson and Jim Thompson and some of his McKillop slo-pitch baseball team took a few hours leave from their tourney at Kinburn to test their luck at the bridge in Bayfield. But alas, only four were caught, none hy them, this time around. Could have been the fact that they stored the bait in a gasoline pail.
