ch urses in Britain have a
"buddy system" so that
when a new golfer takes
up the game a club
member takes them
under their wing for a few
weeks. This is a great
idea, because the new
golfer learns the rules,
the , etiquette and also
meets other golfers in the.
process.
After a fewrounds, you
decide that golf could be a
fun way to spend .some of

you might consider
getting your own clubs
and even getting a
membership at the
course you favor. Some
may wonder what kind of,
clubs to purchase, what
other equipment is
needed and where to go to
get the best deal. To
begin with you will need
clubs, a bag, balls and
tees. You may also need a
pull cart if you don't want
to carry the clubs. Later
on if you are interested
you may invest in shoes
and items such as an
umbrella, glove and even
a,ball retriever (although
this has been known .tq,..be-
a primary purchase for
some beginner).
