It was announced that
the foundation of the town
hall and library is being
repaired,

hoped it can be ere9ted by

Engineer Pernpsey 'of
Huron County sent a
letter stating that road
work at Auburn would be
curtailed for a short time.
The war on dogs still
continues so try and keep
your pet tied up at all
times .and avoid damage
to property.

Last Sunday over 50
members of the Robinson
family enjoyed a reunion
in the Community
Memorial Hall, Auburn.
Guests were present from
Detroit, Michigan, St.
Clair Shores., Michigan,
Almonte, Michigan,
Wingham, Belgrave,
Goderich, Blyth, Ben -
miller, Exeter, Zurich
and London. The af-
ternoon was spent
renewing friendships and
playing games. Later, a
delicious smorgasbord
supper was served to all. -
The Auburn ball
diamond is being kept
busy nearly every
evening of the week but
few people are enjoying
it. Please come out and
show you appreciate the
work of the managers
and teams. Slow -pitch
can be good en-
tertainment.
Mr. and Mrs. George
Disney of St. Clair
Shores, Michigan ; Mr.
and Mrs. Harry Rin-
derknecht of Almonte,
Michigan ; Mr. and Mrs.
Maynard Rinderknecht
of Detroit; and Mr. and
Mrs. Clifford Brown of
Goderich were guests last
Saturday evening with
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas
Haggitt.
Many from this com-
munity went with the
Blyth Horticultural
Society to the Botanical
Gardens in Hamilton,
Dundurn Castle and
Velhuis Nursery on
Monday.
Last Saturday the
ashes of the late Gordon
(StiokY Adams were
buried in Bali's
cemetery. He had passed
away in Hamilton after a
lengthy illness late last
December. His wife and
two sons of.Toronto and
sister, Mrs. Bill (Martha)
Reick and husband of
Kitchener were present.
Some visited with their
aunt, Mrs. Elva
St: aughan, later. -
Mrs. John Stadelinann,
Christine, Rhonda and
Jennifer of Blyth, Mrs,
Gary Nicholson, Lorie
and Connie of Port Albert
and Mrs. George Collins
and Jonathan were
guests last Monday of
Mrs. Eleanor Bradnock.
Mr. and Mrs. Ron
Elliott of Mississauga_
spent the weekend with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Gordon Miller.

tend the Arthur Circle's
annual dinner on Mon-
day, June 16 at 6:30 p.m.

Frances Clark, gave the
financial statement and
accepted the offering.
This was dedicated with
prayer by Mrs. Brad -
nock.
The mission study was
on Taiwan and a com-
plete study on the life of
Rev. C. M. Kao who was
arrested at a morning
church service on April
24.
The hymn, Now the
Day is Over, was read
and the meeting was
closed with prayer.
Lunch was served by
Mrs. Roy Daer assisted
by Mrs. Frances Clark.
The Auburn

Missionary Society met
for its June meeting 4t

ship, the hymn, Abide '

unison. The devotional
period was in the charge
of Mrs. Frank Raithby.
She had all repeat Psalm
23 and gave a meditation
on this Shepherd's Psalm
followed by prayer.
The roll call was an-
swered by a Bible verse
containing'` the word,
Shepherd.
