On behalf of the Hospital Auxiliary, Evelyn Olde, left, thanked Nellie Lizet and
Donna Lawson for their top placing sketches of the hospital. The art students
from CHSS, under the direction of Mr. Ron Walker' made drawings of the
hospital's exterior for hasti-notes. Nellie, a Grade 11student had her drawn
chosen for the notes from five others and Donna, a Grade 10 Student was the

Auxiliary keeps busy
A pot luck luncheon
preceded the June 1
meeting of the Auxiliary
to the Clinton Public
Hospital. The -meal and
meeting were'held at the
home of president Dawna
Westlake in Bayfield.
Joyce Hilderly read the
minutes of the May
meeting and reported on
the spring conference.
Correspondence included
notices of the Huron Day
Centre's workshop and
fair on June 24. Katilleen
Elliott plans to attend the
Meals on Wheels con-
ference in Orillia from.
June 22 to 24.
treasurer's report
showed a donation to the
Heart Save program
from Clara Shaddick.
Mrs. Westlake reported
that she and Ruth Bond
will attend a president's
luncheon in Stratford on
June 19. An excellent
report on the Spring
Institute in Toronto was
given by Joyce Chilton
and Peggy Menzies. Mrs.,'
Menzies is now the
president of OHA.

reported that Brenda
Ball, who had been a
Ruby Haddy award
winner, W0fr the
proficiency award upon
graduating as an RNA
from the Wingham
Hospital. In her buying
report Helen Davies
noted that she had sent a
spoon to the graduate.
Flora Kenwall said that
many thank you notes
that been sent during the
past month ,and Marg
Coventry told the group
that she had held a
meeting with the gift shop
committee andthe shop
is to remain open from 2
to 4 pm every afternoon
through the summer.
Donna Wood stressed Tuesday mornings. More
the importance of pre- volunteers are needed for
selling penny sale tickets
and a quantity was given
to each member and they
were remiildka that these
funds have been
designated for a specific
piece of hospital equip-
ment. As many tickets as
possible are to be sold by
the September 2 meeting.
Mrs. Davies was
pleased to acknowledge a
donation of $51 from Mrs. .,
Daisy Holland's Friday
afternqon vanishing
party and $91 from
Bayfield's marathon
bridge party.

auxiliary members is
continuing and Mrs.
Coventry reported that
the reponse has been
good. People wishing to
join can contact Mrs,

Marg Frisby, reporting
for the geriatrics com-
mittee, said that the
hairdressing service
continues to function on
Thursday afternoons to
read to the patients or
participate . in games,
write letters, help with
birthday celebrations or
just chat. Those willing to
help are asked to contact
the second floor of the
• hospital.
The hospital now has
hasti-notes to sell. Evelyn

contest was sponsored for
CHSS art students for a
sketch on the hospital. It
was won by Nellie Lizet
and Donna Lawson carne
