When the downpours began people sought shelter in the arena where a variety of exhibits were shown or in the grandstand for a bird's eye view of the horse shows. Better yet, many brought along raincoats and umbrellas to the three day event. (News -Record photo) The Clinton Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion had an impressive float in the Spring Fair parade CLINTON HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY . that included young and old ,alike. (News -Record photo) a► The Clinton Horticultural Society had one of the most colorful booths at the Clinton Spring Fair last weekend. It even had a working fountain. For the second year in a row, a daughter- from the same family is queen of the Clinton Fair, as Judy Jewitt, left, 18 -year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Jewitt was crowned by her older sister, Carol, right, who was last year's queen. Judy was picked from 11 contestants at last Friday night's contest. (News -Record photo) Twenty-five bundles of joy°had the judges smiling even though they had a hard time picking the top youngsters at the Clinton Spring Fair baby show on Saturday afternoon. First to fourth I➢rizes were given in two classes for babies six months and younger and babies six months to a year old. The best baby out of both classes was also chosen, (News«Reeord photo)
