GENERAL CONDITIONS (Please read carefully)
1 Only one entry per class is eligible from a breeding 'unit, except the fair has
authorized, in up to two classes, a.maximum of two entries in classes: 11q, 114,
113, 112 and a maximum of three entries in classes: 117, 119, 120, 121, 116..
Maximum total eligible entries from a breeding unit is 10 head.
Example: .
2 entries in 2 junior classes plus 1 entry in other classes toa total of 10 head.
2 entries in 1 junior class, 3 entries in 1 mature class plus 1 entry in other classes
to total of 10 head,

2 Animals shown in the individualclasses for which prize money is offered may
not also be shown in the corresponding dry classes.
3 'Animals from both the prize money and non -prize money classes will be eligible
for the Premier Breeder and Premier Exhibitor awards.
4 Competition isrestricted to exhibitors from the County of Huron.
5 The exhibitor shall be the owner as officially recorded on the registration
certificate immediately prior to the commencement of judging.
6 The registration certificate and the necessary Record of Performance cer-
tificates must be made. available for checking before the commencement of
judging.
7 Within the limit of the total nurnber of entries, unlimited substitution of entries
owned by the same exhibitor will be permitted.
8 Each exhibitor must be a'member of the Huron Central Agricultural Society.
Membership Fee is $2.00.
9 Each exhibitor must be a member of the Huron County Holstein Club. Annual
Fee is $2.00.
10 Entries and Huron Central Agricultural Society forms must be in the hands of
the Secretary, Don Watson, RR 4, Clinton, Ont., NOM 1L0 by May 25, 1980.
11 15 percent entry fee will be charged.
HEALTH REQUIREMENTS: (Please Read Carefully)
All cattle must be free from Infectious or Contagious Diseases such as Ringworm
and Pink -eye.
All cattle must be negative to a blood test for Brucellosis, within 60 days except:
(a) Steers
(b) Spayed Heifers
(c) Brucellosis vaccinated animals under 18 mos. of age (vacc. certificate to
accompany animals).
(d) Animals from Brucellosis Free'Listed Herds downers to obtain form HA4
from their local Health of Animals Branch Office).
(e) Calves under 6 mos. of age (all 4-H calves to be blood tested).
Blood samples are to be taken by local practicing veterinarians or their approved
technicians. -
Cattle may not be unloaded from thetruck until proof of the above is supplied.

least one completed record with a minimum B.C.A. of 125 for. milk.
113 HEIFER CALF - Junior and Senior, born after July 1, 1979. From a dam with
at least one completed record with a minimum of 120 B.C.A. for milk.
114 JUNIOR YEARLING - Jan. 1, 1979 - June 30, 1979. From a dam with at least
one completed record with a minimum of 120 B.C.A. for milk. t"
115 SENIOR YEARLING - July 1, 1978 - Dec. 31, 1978. From a dam with at least
one completed record with a minimum of 120 B.C.A. for milk.
JUNIOR CHAMPION FEMALE AND RESERVE CHAMPION
(Ribbons Only)
116 DRY COW - at least one record with a minimum B.C. of 125 for milk. An
animal shown in this class cannot be shown in any othar classes for single
animals, including the best udder class, but may be shown in the "Breeders
Herd". Must have completed her lactation within 120 days of the opening of the
exhibition.
117 FEMALE - July 1, 1977 - June 1978, in milk or dry, If dry must be within 8
weeks of calving. Must be either from a dam with at least one completed
record with a minimum B.C.A. of 120 for milk, or the "entry" must have at-
tained a production record equivalent to a minimumB.C.A. of 120 for milk. •
--1,18 FEMALE - July.1, 1977 - June 30, 1978, unfreshened. Must be either from a dam
with at least one completed record with a minimum B.C.A. of 120 for milk, or
the "entry" must have attained a production record equivalent to a minimum
B.C.A. of 120 for milk.
119 FEMALE - July 1, 1976 - June 1977, in milk or dry. If dry must be Within ap-
proximately 8 weeks of calving. Must be either from a dam with at least one
completed record with a minimum B.C.A. of 120 for milk, or the "entry" must
have attained a production record equivalent to a minimum B.C.A. of 120 for
milk.
120 FEMALE July 1, 1975 - June 30, 1976, in milk or dry. If dry, must be within
approximately 8 weeks of calving. At least one record with a minimum B.C.A.
of 120 for milk.
121 FEMALE - prior to July 1975, in milk or dry. If dry, must be within ap-
proximately 8 weeks of calving. At least one record with a minimum R.C.A. of
120 for milk.
SENIOR CHAMPION AND RESERVE CHAMPION FEMALE

122 BREEDERS HERD (bred and owned by exhibitor) Group of 4 animals but not
more than one bull. Each animal must have been exhibited in one of the above
classes.
123 WITHIN BREED BEST UDDER CLASS An entry must"have at least 2
records with an average B.C.A. of 140 for milk or at least 3 records with an
average B.C.A. of 130 for milk. Records must be available at ringside.
Limited to one entry per exhibitor. Prize Money to be paid on first and second
placings only.
SPECIAL
1st Prize Winners with Official Records (R.O.P. or D.H.I.A.) in each of the
Senior Female.clksses to be won by the cow with the highest composite B.C.A.
as recorded at time of the show. Reserve Grand Champion Female will be
included if not a First Prize winner.

The Huron County Holstein Club i§ awarding calf halters to each new 4-H
member with a Holstein calf.
Holstein Club will be having a dinner after the show. Dinner to be Kentucky
Fried Chicken and will be served in the show area at which time trophies for
the,dairy section will be presented. Tickets for dinner can be purchased from
any director of the Holstein Club. •

Rules and Regulations:
1 Cages will be supplied.
2 Entries shall consist of single specimen.
3 No more than two entries per class per exhibitor.
4 Cockerel and Pullet entries not over six months.
5 Entry Fee will be 10 percent of all prize monies won over $10.00.
6 Entries to be received by the Secretary, Faye Fear,
Box 1423, Clinton, Ont. NOM 1LO, no later than May 25, 1980.
7 Judging will commence at 11:00 A.M. SHARP.
