evening, our new slate of
officers and executive
committee members for
both the men and the
ladies' auxiliary were
installed into their
respective positions by
the installation team of
zone officials and
members of the Goderich
Branch in an impressive
installation ceremony.
To add the color and
tradition, our Comrade
Piper Murray East piped
the delegates into
position. Following the
installation ceremonies,
the president of the
Ladies' Auxiliary,

Branch building fund to
the newly installed
president, Comrade
Percy Pugh, who was
indeed overwhelmed by
the amount of the pledge.
He thanked the ladies for
their continued
dedication to the Branch.
The lower lounges of
our Branch was the scene
of the entertainment
which followed as Eugene
Bradley's accordion
accompanied the Sing
Along which followed. To
cap off the evening, all
present were treated to a
lunch, compliments of the
staff and Comrade Billy,
Quoting President Pugh,
a terrific, .. :jobex-
ceptionally well done.
Our TGIF last Friday
held another highlight
feature as Comrade
Mabel Schreiber
celebrated her four score
and ten birthday. Marg
Reynolds was also on
hand celebrating her
birthday, which one we
don't know! A beautifully
decorated cake was cut
and distributed to all.:
present as many cards of
well wishes were opened.'
A fun -filled evening
followed as Millie Hanley
and the `piano led us in a
sing -along. The following
day, Milt ,and Mabel,
Clem and Marg
celebrated their
respective wedding

Turning to sports, the
Legion Early Bird golf
tournament which was
held at the Grand Bend
Course last Sunday was a
real success with 88
participants. Legion low
gross winner was
Comrade Allan Pennie
with a 75 score. Guest low
gross winner was Gerry
Stirling also with a .75.
Low net went to Comrade
Len Arnston. A special
thank you to the food

Our Men's Euchre
contingent who journeyed
to Cornwall to participate
in the Provincial finals,
were not successful,
sorry to report. The.days

Cornwall Branch. Better

4-H Club news
The first meeting of the
Clinton III 4-H Club was.
held on May 12 at the
home of Mrs. Pat
Saundercock our leader.
The meeting opened with
the 4-H pledge.
We answered the roll
call which was "What I
hope to learn from this
project." We then did our
obstacle course and our
Fitness Test.

president, Kathy
MacDonald; vice
president, Cindy Evans;
secretary, Barb Young;
press reporters, Margie
Wise and Kathy Staddon.
The second meeting
was held on May 26 at
Mrs. Lexy Murch's house
(assistant leader).
The roll call which was

outdoors" was answered.
We, learned how to press
flowers and how to build
and cook in the different
types of fires. ''
