Darryn McAsh sang a solo, then a skit was presented which was written and performed by Joyce Dowson, Pat Taylor, June Webster and -Elaine Stephenson. Elaine's portrayal of Bill Chessell left those who know him.well chuckling for days afterwards. Dianne Kirton read a delightful address of good wishes in verse, which she and June Webster had composed. Marion expressed her appreciation for the gifts and to all who had worked to make the prograrn_and -the evening- such a sue - cess. Other showers were given for Maiion by her maid of honor, Mary Jane Templeman, for her friends in Stratford; bridesmaid' Kathy Kreuter and former roommate Kathy Baechler for neighbours and relatives of the Kreuters in Rostock and Marilyn Zimn?.er, -and Olive Riehl for the Jef- ferson family. 'Village notes Bruce and Anna Keys are the excited grand- parents of twins, born to Jim and Marilyn Laing of Mississauga on Thur- sday. They're calling them Dianna Louise and. David James. Little David had respiratory probleMs at first, but by Monday he was out of Oxygen and coming along fine. Barry and Pat Taylor and Eric and Sharon Chuter had an enjoyabl•e weekend trip to Wheeling, W. Va. to see the country music show and the dog races. ' • A benefit dance for the Poswalk Fund is being held at the Bayfield Recreation Centre on Saturday evening with music by Star Trex. Varna 441 club The first meeting of the Varna 4-H Club was held after school on May 20th. The theme of our club is Outdoor Living. Our leaders are Eleanor Coleman arid Sandra Turner. There are four members - Lori and Tracy Hayter, Sherri Chuter and Cindy Taylor.
