The community is glad to hear that Clarence Perdue is home from the hospital. __Kippen has sharp shooters By Rena Caldwell The Kippen East W.I. will meet in Hensall on May 21 with the 4-H clubs and their leaders as guests. The Kippen Gun Club met May 6 with 24 shooters. John Smallman and Tom Russell shot 25 birds each; , John Anderson, Sonja Gun- derson, Bob Ironside, Bert Mahaffy had 24 birds each while Dan . Crerar,_Bill Stewart, Jim Butcher, Jack Mills, Harrison Schock, George Hamm, Lloyd Venner, John Gredanis each hit 23. Keven Lamport, Paul Middleton had 22 birds and Tom Kaeghin and Al Kyle scored 21 each; John Hessels, Bryan Beer, Neil Colquhoun had 20; Chris Middleton, Mervyn Batkin shot 19 and Jack Bell hit 16. A shower arranged by Mrs. Ken Richardson and Diane Richardson for Barbara Cooper was held at Barbara's home on May 4. Relatives were present from London, Tillsonburg, Kitchener, Exeter, Hensall and the Kippen area. Mellis attended the 95th birthday celebration for Mrs. Elsie Haney, held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack McGee in Blyth. Mrs. Haney is a cousin of Wilfred Mellis. .. �. .
