conducted the Mother's
Day service in Carmel
Presbyterian Church on
Sunday and performed
the Sacrament of Bap-

Elizabeth Snelgrove,

Harold Snelgrove and
their grandchildren,
daughter and son of Mr.
and Mrs. Fred
McDonald, Zurich were
presented for baptism.
The members ,of the
Sunday School gave
readings in keeping with
Mother's Day and sang a
chorus. Rev. Knight's
message to the Children
was, Great Mothers of the
Bible and to the
congregation, The
Meaning of Baptism. The
girls' choir sang and Mrs.
Robert Taylor presided
at the organ and led in the
service of song.
Unit 4 Meets
Unit 4 of Hensall UCW
met last Thursday with
the leader Mrs. Britton
opening the meeting with
a poem followed by a
hymn. Mrs. Purdy chose
a .verse for her
devotional.
Sixteen members
answered the roll call.
There were 44 visits
made to the sick and shut-
ins in April. The
treasurer reported that
the barbecue had been
well attended and was a
decided success. Mrs.
Rena Caldwell thanked
the ladies for their
cooperation. The general
meeting will be on June 2.
