Concert A t`nusieal evening_ sponsored by the choir of. Carmel Preshyterian Church was, largely at- tended on 'tin day evening, when the gills handbell choir from St. Mary's Presbyterian Church presented a nurnber of selections under the direction of Mrs. Julie Stevens. The girls girls who took part in- cluded Cheryl Finnie, Brenda Scheuermann, J,an-e-R oleton Lyyrr-lari nk- wafter, Heather Hearn;, Carolyn Bridge, Lisa Martin, Mindy Wilson, Rosemary Finnie, Debbie Mitchell, . Nancy Proudlove, The Call to Worship was read by Becky Baker, the Scripture reading by Jane Pollock and prayer by Kathy Love. Mrs. Al Hoggarth gave a reading and Mrs. Eric Luther sang a solo, as did Ron Fleming. United Church News The regular Sunday morning service at Hensall United Church was conducted by Ross Hargreaves of Thames Road who preached on "The will of the Lord be done". Next Sunday will , be Christian Family _Sunday- and families are en, • couraged to attend in families. On Friday, May 2, the Young Teen group met and went- roller . skating, returning af- terwards to the manse to enjoy Pizzaz. Auxiliary Hosts Zone Rally The Ladies' Auxiliary of Hensall Legion Branch 468 hosted 12 Auxiliaries from the district on Sunday at the Hensall Community Centre. The Seaforth Girl's Band led the parade to the cenotaph where wreaths were placed. The members of the local men's branch were in attendance, as was zone commander Bill Rheil, Blyth and Peggy Coombs, ladies' zone commander from Seaforth. The guest speaker 'was Mrs. Maxine Jarczak, provincial commander from Toronto who gave an outstanding address. Queensway News Rev. Kenneth - Knight. conducted the worship service at Queensway Nursing Home ac -r companied by Mrs. Blanche Dougall at the piano. The Presbyterian Ladies' entertained with bingo and treats. Visitors with Russell Erratt were Mrs. Olive Stephenson, Mrs. Beatrice- Taylor; Mrs. Vera Johnston and Mrs. Irene Finlayson visited their mother Mrs. Volland and Mrs. Mary Oesch, Mrs. Gladys Bechler and Marlene Hamilton visited Pat Oesch. Don Rozendall visited his wife Alice Rozetldall, also visiting with Mrs. Rozendall were Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Kraft, Obe and Jean Rozendall; Shirley Prouty visited with Mrs. Kendrick, Isobel Sproat; Vera Laramie, and Vivian Alderson while Frank and Elaine'Jordan visited Nelson Loghrin. Mary Hern and Edna Anderton visited Louise Mitchell; Mrs. Jerome Deitrich and Mrs. Flossie Will'ert visited Mrs. Irma Wilds and Mrs. Triebner. and Connie Kendrick visited Mrs. Nell Ken- drick. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Triebner, visited Mrs. Muriel Triebner. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hogan , Robert Wilds and Al Dogan visited Mrs. Wilds and the men's high bowling score was rolled by Neil Regan with a 137 while the ladies' high of 64 was bowled by Mary Parlmer. Mrs. Hazel Luther, who spent the winter months • with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Slade and Glenn and Mr. and Mrs. Eric Luther left on Saturday for her horde in Newfoundland.
