Bingo held
The , first share the
wealth of $82 was won by
Lorrie Hugili of R.R. 2,
Seaforth at Bingo • on
April 22.
Elmer Lee of Clinton
claimed the second share
the Wealth of $86 along
with Marg ,,Carter of
Clinton, Dave Sewitt of
Lucknpw , and Vera
, Bennett of Clinton. Mrs.
Ohni of Wingham took the
third share the wealth of
$89 and Pat Shaw of Blyth
was. the lucky winner of
the $200 jackpot.

Scouts in attendance this
week.. Theyseem to be
afraid of the rain. The
deadline for all camp
money is Friday at the
latest it must be in,
Cubs
The Cub meeting was
opened as usual with only
10 boys in attendance.
Come on guys, you'll
never get your lair
curtains this Way.
They practised some
new songs and played
some old games. All
camp money must be in
to Barry no later than
Friday, May 2.
Sunday school
Now that Come Alive is
finished a Sunday School
program is being set up to
start on May 11.
Sunday School will be
open to pre-school right
up o—drdults; -tJrts Witt•
start at 9 a.m. to 9:50
a.m. Following this a
church service will start
at 10 a.m. and a nursery
school will also be
provided.
Vacation Bible School
This year the Vacation
Bible School's theme will
be God's happy people,
published by "Concordia
of St. Louis, Missouri.
Games, puzzles, songs,
take home projects and
Bible stories will' be a
part of each day's .ac-
tivities and this program
will be set up for
youngsters frotn pre-
school to Grade 8.
The cost of the program
is underwritten by the
church and it will all start
on Monday, July 14,
through Friday, July 25,
with the closing program
on July 27. If you require

Due to the extra cost to
transport the nursery
school to Rockton, they
have decided to take a
trip to London's
Storybook Gardens. A
picnic is planned for the
morning followed by
amusement rides, after
which a birthday party
will be held at
MacDonalds for Lisa

The nursery school

getting ready for their
graduation on June 5 and
a barbecue is planned.
The kindergarten class of

School along with Mr.
Ross, the ,principal and
Mrs. Maloney, teacher,:

Our Branch again
made the donation
headlines as , they came
forth with a $500 donation.
towards the Port Hope
Disaster Fund; a worthy
cause indeed, as•we never
know where disaster will
strike next.
Our Cribbage team,
made up of Slim Lacroix,
John Deeves, - George
Rumball, Eric Switzer,
and Graham Yeats, after
winning the Zone and
District competitions,
ijourneyed to South Bend
Legion this past weekend
to . compete in the
provincial tournament
against all other districts
in the Province.
Although unsuccessful
in the actual play, getting
poor cards throughout, it
was .' a-..:pleasarit a c-
perience for them
meeting all the other
representative- branches'
who came from every
corner of the province.
Next year is still to come,
comrades. -
Five members of our
Branch attended the
district meeting which
was held at Preston last
Sunday. John Semple and
George Campbell ;,were
accorppatiied by three of
our associate members,
Steve Maguire, Gord
Tait, and Dave Hanley.
While at the -meeting, our
branch was presented
with its 50 year plaque
commemorating 50 years
of continuous active
,service in the Legion.

last Sunday .from Auburn to Holmesville; and 'the
service club start was no exception. The race at-

While - TGIF, was
flourishing in our lower
lounges last Friday
Parish dance was taking
place in our Auditorium.
The lunch was also a
superb attraction as all
who attended partook of a
'hip of beef"
Everyone in the Huron
County. Dart League
seemed pleased. .ir4deed
with the service and
quality of the dinner as
our coffers were again
swelled with thanks to the
faithful Comrades and
their wives who came out
to assist. Our'thanks also
to Comrade Ron Gonie
and his son Frank who
together with Alice and
Kay took care of bar -
tending and ticket selling
duties
Our Ladies Auxiliary
were again on the job this
past Monday evening as
they _ catered to the
Annual OSSTF dinner
meeting with - some 150
people on hand. Our
