The cause of a fire that
heavily damaged a home
on James Street in
Clinton this March was
not caused by faulty
wiring, as reported
recently in this paper.
The fire, which nearly
gutted the home rented
,by Joan and. Tom Burley
fivm Cale Doucette, was
not caused by the per-
manent wiring in the
walls of the house, ac-
cording to the inspectien
department of the Clinton
office .of Ontario Hydro,
who inspected the home
after the fire.
The fire could have
possibly been started by a
faulty appliance, but an
Ontario Hydro inspector
said, "that's only
speculation."
The house has since
been torn down.
