A fun weekend with lots
of activity will take place
at lamp Menesetung on
May 16 to 19, when they
halve their High Teen
Weekend Camp. It iSterts
at 7 p.m. on Friday and
goes %, m Monday.
Music sessions will be
with John Greenwood of
Waterloo, a popular
youth worker, singer,
guitarist and composer.
There will be sports,
hiking,- swimming (if it's
warm enough), etc. and
worship. The $25 fee
covers all meals and
snacks.
We'd like to welcome
Dan and Shirley Taylor
and little Christopher
back to Varna. They will
be moving into the Roy
Elliott house after the
Elliotts move to their new
home in Goderich. We'd
like to wish Roy and
Helen Edith and their
family all the best in their
new community..
Lois and Beatrice
Taylor came home on
Saturday - -after staying
with their grandchildren
in 'Clinton while Murray
and Barbara holidayed in
the Barbados.
Members of the Orange
Lodge -treated their wives
to dinner at the. Albion
Hotel last Thursday. An.'
evening of Court Whist
followed at the hall.
Nora Heard returned
Sunday night from a two-
week holiday in the
States, travelling on the
Greyhound Bus Line's
"Thank You Canada"
pass. She was ac-
companied by her .sister,
Alice Brandon, and they
had an. enjoyable trip
from Detroit as far west
as Des Moines and
south to Beaumont
(Texas) and New
_Qrleans.
They also went for a
boat ride on the
Mississippi. Nora would
recommend this method
of travel to _anyone
considering taking ad-
vantage of the Greyhound
offer.

Penny Winners ' of 1979
were treated to a
delicious supper catered
to by the losers on April
14. Followed -by
,Devotions led by Mrs.
Jean Henderson and Mrs.
Gladys Alexander, Mrs,
Henderson opened with a
poem and a short.
reading. Mrs. Alexander
read the scriptures.
Mrs. Henderson chose
as her topic "Live to -day
and trust the Lord as it
comes " followed by
prayer. Mrs. Elsie
Henderson of Huronview
played the piano for the
hymns.
Mrs. Hazel McCartney
presided over the
business and the minutes
were read by' Mrs.
Beatrice Stoll with 17
members and one visitor
answering the roll call
with an Easter thought.
Mrs. Berry gave the
treasurer's report and
Mrs_ Violet Ross read a
thank -you from Mrs.
Doreen Mustard. The unit
has been asked to cater to
a wedding on May 17 and
the project for the Mayr
12th meeting at 8 p.ni. is
to be a plant sale with all.

Everyone is asked. to
wear an old piece of
jewellery.
Members are invited to

Clinton on April 20 at 7:30
p.m. Please remember to

church by 9 a.m. May
17th for the Homestead

Everyone then enjoyed
a real fun time with
games etc. and a Flea
Market was held and a
cup of tea and treats were
served.
