Church News ,,A Sunrise Service is planned for Easter Sunday, April 6 at 7:30 a.m. Breakfast to be served in the lower level of the church. The regular -service, to beheld at 9:45 a.m. with the opportunity for baptism and church znembership. The worship service was held at 9:45 a,m. last Sunday morning. Rev. Oestreicher talked to the children about the Bible, it was translated from Hebrew to Greek and then to E. nglish, There are 66 'books in the Bible. "Keep your eyes on the cross" was the minister's message. Chester Sturdy and Frank Thompson received the offering. The Board of Stewards met following the service. Note: Communion service is planned for Palm Sunday at 9:45 a.m. Thursday, March 27 choir practice for Junior and Intermediate at 7 p.m. --Sriors cher-a-t-ll-p.r-ri-y Personals • Mrs. Bill Batkin, Mrs. Alvin Cox, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Cook and Mr. and Mrs. Frank : Thompson and. family attended the funeral of their aunt, Mrs. E.M. Durst (Mrs. Huller's sister) in Berkley, Michigan. Sympathy from the cornmunity to Mrs. Huller and family on the loss of her sister. Many in the Holmesville area were without hydro on Friday in that spring storm that blew in. Power, one finds, is hard to be without. The Goderich Township Women -'s Institute will hold a card party in the school March 27 at 8 p.m. Ladies bring lunch, admission $1. The Township curling will finish ' this Sunday March 30 at 8 p.m. in Vanastra. Bonnie and Don Lock- wood enjoyed the winter break in Florida. Barbara and Alvin Betties spent Sunday as •guests with Mr. and Mrs. E. Snell of Atwood. Don and Isobel Harris attended the Talbot wedding near Bayfield last Saturday. 4-H news • The fourth meeting of the Holmesville II Decor Dreamers was held on March 17 with five members present. The meeting started with each member taking their turn to read about "Furnishings and Their Arrangement". We also leaned how to make floor plans and read them. For our home activity, we were to 'bake a floor plan of our .bedroom now and another of our bedroom as we'd like it to be. The fifth meeting of the Holmesville II Decor Dreamers was held on March 24 with five members present. We went through our roll call and then read about "Personalizing Your 'Room"`; colour climate, textures, wall -hangings, collections, plants, and dried and artificial flowers.
