each draw to the high and
low scores. The two `high'

The Junior Curlers held
a fun day on Sunday and
competed for a trophy
donated by Ross Ribey of
the . Whitney-Ribey
Funeral Horne. The,
winning team . was

Rimmer and Jenny Ste.
Marie. All the curlers
enjoyed a supper
following the 'curling. • .
The third andfinal
draw has been completed
for both, mixed and men's
curling with the following
being declared winners.
In mixed, the Wednesday
night winner was the
team of Don and Claudia
E astman with Brian and
Judy. Nuhn. The Thur-
sday early winners were
Doug and Peggy
Rowcliffe with Pat and
Don Deighton, who in-
cidentally, have been
declared the overall
winners as no play offs
ate to be held.
-The Thursday late
winners were. Jim and
Ann Cunningham with
Keith and Pauline
Sieman. Congratulations
to all of you! The two
team's to play off to
decide the mens overall

week. The Gord Pryce
rink was overall winner
for the third straight
year. Gord was ably
assisted in this by Gerald
Smith, Ross Lovatt and
Neil Dolmage. Other

curling has rolled around

events committee. I'm
told all the gang who are
off to Las Vegas are
planning to leave after
this event - don't forget to

Sunday, March 23. The
consistent eight-year-old
gelding by Hoot Frost-

been second twice and

Jolly Killean, owned
and trained by Lionel

his first win this year
with Gerry Roebuck up at
Western Fair Raceway
on Friday night.
A newcomer - to the
races, Josie Doo Little,
owned and trained by
Frank Little of Goderich,
won the sixth race at
London on March 24,
timed in p, 2:12.4 with
driver Ken McElroy on
the bike.

the Bears behind' with

place with 8,337.
For the women, Jo-
Anne Collins had the high
single of 279 and Diane
Collins took the high
triple with 640. Marj
Moore had' the high
average with 205.
Art Burt had the men's
high single of 314 and the
high average of 236. The

Johnston with 770.
Tuckersmith Mixed
Amy's Slings have
finished -the season at the

points and Roses and Rye

Hilda's Hi -balls came
behind in third place with

year-old pacer by John R.

by Bill Rapson of
Holmesville died sud-
denly during a race at
Barrie Raceway earlier
this month.
RipPer, as Bill called
him, easily wiw his first
lifetime start in 2:11 on
July 15, 1979.at Clinton
Raceway and looked as
though he was headed for
a promising, future. Bill
was not driving him, at
the time as .he has spent
the winter in Florida
working with horses in
Ron Waples' Stable at
Seminole Raceway.
At London on Saturday
