Chessell on Saturday,
of Varna,
ually mailed to
papers .on Monday
afternoons, hu been of
happy events recently.
Thew last Tuesday at
'1!n, a cloud of doom
descended over the
• community when ,we saw
the tragedy taking place .
In our midst.
Janet 'Foswalk, an
intelligent . and talented
young woman, had fought .
herr way . through, t a
lengthy , illness and.
seemed to be enjoying life
again before: the house
fizre., struck. Our hearts
ached for her husband
Ho*ard', their daughter
Tracy, and Janet's
family.
We may have lost
Howard too, with his
sunny smile and his
wonderful Bardeen that
'est some of us supplied
with peppers and/ dill for'
pickling when we had
none in our own gardens,
He and Tracy have been
with hisfamily in the
Detroit area, and may
find it too painful to
- return here to live. They
will certainly be missed
by their friends and
neighbors.
A special prayer was
offered for them at
Sunday's church service;
the Bayfield Lioness Club
is . donating proceeds of
their dance to help them
-make a newstart, and a
box was set pin the
Varna General Store for
donations.
Our sympathy is ex-
tended to the Taylor
family, too, in the loss of
their .Mother -and gran-
dmother, Pearl Erratt.
Those who knew her well
found her Christian love a
comfort and inspiration
to those around her:
