coming Rummage Sale to

It was decided to install
a Gothic oak hymnboard
in the church to honour
the memory of the late
Beatrice Gibson, a faith-
ful member of the church

BEAVERS - The meeting of March 12 took the form
of -a -trip -to to -tile Goderich Veterinary Clinic. There .Dr.
Desmond Leeper took the young Beavers. around the
animal hospital in what proved to be a most ' in-
teresting evening. They wish to say thank you to Dr.
Leeper and to the following parents who drove - Tom
Fox, Craig Morley, Bud Walker and Marg Hoskin.
SCOUTS: Scouts did not hold a meeting this week
due to the Spring Break. Last week Greg Carter and
Jerry McMahon were presented with their Bronze
Citizenship badges, Pioneer Award and Bronze
Challenge Awards. They were. absent the week before
when the major presentation was held. ,
Reverend Oestreicher has asked that all -the scouts
who are participating in, the Religion and Life
program have their final assignments ready for
Monday, March 24. '
Saturday, March 22 will be the Scout BOTTLE :
DRIVE DAY. Please save your bottles. Collection will, '-
be made between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m-: All Scouts and`
Cubs.participating will be in uniform of course.
If you wish to donate bottles, but will not be home on
Saturday, you can drop them off at either the Scout_
meetingor the Cub meeting next week. Scouts meet
Mondays at 7 p.m. Cubs meet Thursdays -at 7 p,rri. both
at Ontario Street United Church. Alternatively,
arrangements can be made for pickup by contacting
one of the leaders.

They raised a family of

for a puppet ex-
travaganza!
This afternoon
(Thursday) at 2:30 p.m.,
the Clinton . Library is
pleased to present Bob
Stutt of Frog Print
Theatre in a unique one
person puppet show.
Using a walking stage,
the puppeteer presents
the story "Dragon Stew"
in which a young,boy and
girl becbme friends with
a dragon. who is
scheduled to become the
king's supper. (Adapted
from the book DRAGON
STEW by Tom
McGowen.)
The conflict is resolved
when the dragon ends up
being the chef instead of
an ingredient. A com-
mand performance by
the king's juggler
completes the show.
"Dragon Stew" is
presented for this one-
time performance in
Clinton, by the Huron
County Library and ` is
funded ,through Outreach
Ontario. Everyone is

hour performance and
admission is free.
