registration procedure in
the office.

This week at Cubs we
introduced a lot of new
things that were decided
on at the meeting of the
leaders at Jim Thomas'
house.
A point system will be
going into effect next
week and it was ex-
plained on Monday night
to the boys. So mothers, if
your son has you con-
fused on what is expectcd
of him don't panic, we are
going to send home a
letter of explanation to
you next week.
We have also had lair
curtains made by,
Baghura (Meryle) and
meeting will be held in
Toronto from April 15-19,
,The Honourable Pauline
Mc.Gibbon will be present
to make the draw for a
diamond pendant.
Members of the IODE
across Canada have
purchased tickets on this
draw.
The guest speaker,
Bess Fingland, spoke on
the topic of Child Abuse.
One of many problems in
controlling this in-
creasingly prevalent
problem is public apathy
and hesitation to become
involved in court cases.
Mrs. Fingland outlined
needed new laws to meet
these situations. The
speaker was thanked by
Helen Davies.
Members are reminded
that the April 1 meeting
will be a pot luck supper
at the home of Mary
Murphy.
