It is two gruelling days
• of sitting on your butt
warming a chair listening
to lecture after lecture,
the main mission being
that you will learn to cope

or Scout troop. And I
personally hope that the
'boys in our groups will
appreciate the sacrifice,
their leaders have made
for, their benefit and will
show them the same

After all, weekends
only come every five
days and they are a little
hard to give up.
Congratulations leaders
on another job well done.
Cubs
Our Cubs are all
working very hard trying
to earn badges and finish
Star requirements, and
again this week we
presented badges and
stars. Jamie Orourke
reeved his handyman's
badge, Colin Thomas his
house orderly badge, and
Wayne Dunsmore
received his Tawny Star,
swimmers, toymakers
and carpenters badge.
These badges are listed
in all the Cub handbooks
and we urge the parents
to • check the
requirements thoroughly
and be sure your son has
completed these before
you send a note asking for
the badge.
We really hate to
• disappoint the boys by not
giving themtheir badge,
but the proper
requirements must be
done in order to earn it
properly. The • boys in
Tawny Star are making
working models. Black
Star group is making bird
houses and feeders and
Green Star group is
malsipg fireplace logs
from newspaper. Keep up
the good work boys.
Scouts
This past Monday night
at Scouts, the leaders
informed the boys of what
they had learned at their
training on the weekend.
The boys were told that

Do you have some•
furniture to refinish but
hate the mess that
conventional strippers make?

You've seen it advertised nationally in T.V. Guide.
Handy Block aids in removing paint, varnish, and
lacquer, also remotyes stubborn stains that even san-
ding won't remove—like Inks, dyes-it:Ind water. Use similar, to sandpaper by only rubbing with the
grain. A chemical reaction po*ers off old finishes.
Handy Block is similar in cast to conventional methods
of strjpping - but without the mess, and HandyBlock
