Leonard Radford, RR1 L.ondesboro, received .• The RBW Inc. award during the Georgian College Annual Awards Day ceremony held February 14. S,he is enrolled -in the ' Foundation Art 1 program at the Owen Sound Campus and is one of 139 Georgian students who received an award. She is a graduate of Central Huron Secondary School, Clinton. Brucefeld. UCW meets By Jean Taylor Unit 3 of Brucefield UCW held their February meeting around the topic leisure,. which was presented by Marion Hill and Anne Walters, The ladies learned that a way to be happy is to make the best of whatever we've tot. Pursuing our tasks without fret, fume .or fuss. For it's by com- pleting what God gives us to do, that we find real contentment and hap- piness too. But our body needs time for games and play. Folks need spare time for rent-- a:nd a change in pace from everyday hustle and bustle. The ladies put on their skis and -aleisurely time was spent in a peaceful open field on a cross- country trip. Juice and lunch was served by Mrs. Lorraine Peck and Mrs. Donna-McBeath. Personals Mr. Seldon Ross is not as well as his friends would like and we wish him well. Mary Jane Scott had the misfortune of breaking her leg, but is now going strong on the crutches. Mr. and Mrs. George Cantelon have returned home from a motor trip to Texas, and enjoyed. the warm sunshine. Hint of the Week - Salt removes tea stains in cups, and egg stains on ' spoons. A lump of salt left to melt slowly in the sink will sweeten the drain. Personals Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Thompson have returned home from a holiday in Florida in the St. Petersburg area, visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Elgin Thompson. There has been a lot of noise and activity around the church manse for the last three weeks, as men and women from the Brucefield-Kippen charges have been busy tearing out plaster, in- sulating and re- decorating the dining room and living room. Anne Marie McMullen and Rev. McMullen are very pleased to see the mess cleaned up and a beautiful new rug put down. The lovely new windows- will help keep out those cold winter winds. The Stanley township curlers have completed a successful season of curling, and are now beginning their final playoffs. It has been such a fine winter, not one night of curling was missed because - of storms. Mr. and Mrs. Don McGregor and Randy, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Taylor, Don and Nancy, and Mr. and Mrs, Charles Proctor spent the weekend at Callander, ice -fishing. Fishing has been slow in the area, but enough fish were caught to have one good dinner. Smile Part of our trouble today is that we have too many simple answers and Jaot, enoagh simple problems.
