psychiatric unit at' the
Wingham hospital will -no
longer be controlled or
financed by • the
Alexandra Marine and
General Hospital- in
Goderich.
Up Until now, the
Wingham program has
been run by the Goderich
hospital, which has the
m andate__for_ _ psychiatric
services•in the county.
However, last week the
Wingham hospital board
accepted a proposal to
take- over the program.
Goderich will transferthe-
necessary fundi:ng to
Wingham to cover
salaries, rental and other
expenses.
In return- Goderich has
asked for assurance that
the service will • be
maintained or improved
