The sledding proved so popular, that each
patrol will be -attempting to build its own -1n-

camp was apparent in the queries on the return
journey, —Are we' going to go again next•year?"
and ``When is -our next winter camp?" Inasmuch
as no one complained about the cold this time.
around, it would appear that the lessons were
learned well on our initial outing of the winter.
Our thanks to Scout: fathers, Ross Carter and
Gary Freeman who provided the transportation,
and enjoyed the weekend with -the Scouts.
The troop- meeting of February 4 saw the in-
troduction of a new game called "Douse -Me -
Knot". This particular game should • help the
boys learn their knots in short order sp that they
can remain dry, (particularly the patrol
leaders). Patrol leader Jeff Petit discovered the
iwet consequences of not knowing his bowline.
Reverend Oestre.tcher continu-ed the' religion
and life program instruction. Troop badge
designs were roughed•out,and the preliminary
instructions on the Scout -Guide week ' posters
were discussed.
Rrian Phillips was awarded his achievenient
badge for camping, bronze level, and Wesley
Delve received his communicators badge to add
to his collection of challenge badges.
