The Poker Rally with the snowmobiles had to be cancelled but the pancake breakfast ' drew a large crowd for pan- cakes, maple syrup and sausages served from 8: a:m.. to 11 a.m. Making pancakes and serving _them were Mr. and -Mrs. Donald Haines, Bill Crawford, Steve 'Cam- pbell, Bob WorselI, Bud Chamney , and Frank Slater. The door was in the charge of Walter March'. The log sawing contest began at 1. p.m. _and there was a good attendance with plenty of con- testants. The log- was donated by •--eraig''s_ Sawmill, saws sharpeners' by Tom Haggitt, jackets donated by Champion Roads, sweatshirts donated . by ' Champion Roads, bottle openers donated by Chamney Sanitation and money prizes for the other contests. The Lion vice- president ' was in charge of the afternoon's program assisted by other members of the Auburn and District Lions Club.
