No pay hike for council MITCHELL -Members of the Mitchell town council have decided not to give themselves a pay in- - crease for 1980. An executive com- mittee report recom- mended a 10 per cent increase in the honorarium paid to council , members this year, but council ignored that suggestion and decided to remain at the same pay as they' received in 1979. Last year, Mayor Harold Jordan's -• honorarium was in"- creased n=.creased by 22 per cent over 1978. His pay went from $2,350 to $3,000. ° Reeve. Ray Robinson received a 15 per cent increase last year, ,with his honorarium set at, $2,300. The other seven members of council were given an additional $250 in 1979 over the previous year, bringing their total honorariums to $1,800 each, or a 14 per cent increase. _A As well, last year members of councillors were granted $55 per day for out-of-town meetings; $62.60 per day for con- vention expenses and $35, for each special Meeting attended.
