he will be building a new
5,000 square -foot food
store on Highway 84.
In asking for the village
council's permission to
build the structure Mr.
Beauchamp said,
"Something has to be
done about the business
in. 'this community, I'd
like to start ,the ball
rolling."

only 13 Councils earned
the right to receive this
coveted award,

Judy Carter, a Central
Huron Secondary School
(CHSS) student was
awarded first prize for
her poem, "Service For
the Dead," in the Clinton
Legion's literary-eontest.
Eric Street, another
CHSS student ,,took first
place in the essay
competition with his
work, "Why , I Wear A
Poppy."

casion, as they served
some 200 men in the
auditorium and 60 in our
Ladies Auxiliary Lounge.
It was a rush, clay for our

the many men , who
turned out to lend a
helping hand.
Our auditorium was
again busy Thursday
evening with our
customary bingo, which
was well attended by over
100 enthusiasts. Team
Captain Steve Cooke and
his associate crew of
workers -were on hand for
this one. Judy Lee was

part of a Musical Variety
Show at Wesley ---Willis

February 2 at 8 p.m. On.
