Then we went into the class and we learned what- we have to learn when we fly up to Guides. By Kerri Dunsmore. My Guide Visits: On Wednesday I went to a Guide meeting. We went with a different patrol. • They collected dues and had inspection. We followed them into the horseshoe. The , Brownies went with Wanda and learned about the Crystal Palace and how Guiding , and Scouting started. The -Tenderfeet had a test and then we played some games. . We played detective. Add. raisins and nuts. Combine .egg, vanilla and shortening. Add to the mixture. Dissolve soda in pineapple and add. Stir just until blended. Pour into a greased loaf 'pan. and bake in a moderate oven 0.25. degnrees1 about one hour or until done. Cool on rack. Chiselhurst news Chiselhurst United Church congregation - enjoyed a pot luck supper of "good home cookin" on Monday evening when they held their annual congregational meeting. Following the meal Rev. McDonald led a sing -song with Mrs. Don Kerslake at the piano. Following a Memorial Service, Miss Mary Kinsman was elected congregational secretary for the meeting. During the business period of the meeting, it was decided to hold the Sunday Ser- vice in the church hall during the winter mon- ths, to try to conserve on energy costs. It was also decided to continue the every person subscription plan for the United Church Observer. During the election Mrs. Gerry Glenn, Mrs. Jack .Britnell and Mrs. Tom Britnell were elected to the committee of stewards for a four y,ear term.
