The meeting was called by the Huron County Planning Board (five of its seven members at - ,tended) to discuss an amendment proposed 'by Millpond Marina Ltd. to , accommodate an ex- �,,- l ansion proposal by Blue Anchor Marina. The plan would be to dredge a basin -for about •50 boats -anti to erect a portable wooden dock for about 40 •more motor- boats and small sailboats, to construct a roadway' from Highway 21, a parking lot, a launching ramp and a portable building for -office use. Approval from several_ Federal and Provincial Ministries, the Ausable- -Bayfield Conservati©n Authority • and- the Bayfield Village Council, is required. An amend- ment : •to the village Secondary Plan is necessary to, change the ' zoning ,of the four acre site to recreational' and commercial. It is at present designated as hazard land and the Village Council was unanimous in its decision against such an amen- dment.
