A. discussion was 'held on a ways and means committee. Those chosen were Mrs. Lynda Steenstra, Mrs. Marion Smith and Mrs. Deeves. Rev. 'Bennett installed the ' officers for 'the coming year: Mrs. Blanche Deeves, co- ordinator; group leaders, Audrey . Middleton, Lois Wise, Lynda. Estelle Wise read the minutes of the last meeting in absence of Shirley Storey, and Vera Miller gave the treasurer's report, while Delores Dutot gave. the supply. report, and the social service report was given by Blanche Deeves. Rev. Bennett thanked everyone for their sup- port including the war- dens, and thanked Don Middleton for lighting the furnace when needed. Everyone then gathered to see slides shown by Mr. and. Mrs. Garnet Harland : - on Egypt, which..- were truly "' enjoyed including their - commentary on their trip. . Sarah Storey thanked the Harlands for coming and showing their slides. Lunch was served by the hostess and Lois Smith. •-. 44 • 1 Personals Saturday evening, the Deeves had as their guests Marg and Eric - Switzer and Mrs. Vera • Bennett of Clinton An enjoyable time was had - by all. On Sunday the Deeves had an an= niversary dinner for Mr. and Mrs. Jack Smith` of Dungannon who were celebrating their 39th anniversary, also as guests were Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Dutot. • Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Chris Cowan of Auburn on the birth of their second son on Thursday last. Proud grandparents Lois and Edward Wise and proud great grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Bert Rowden. The ann-ual Vestry meeting of St. James Middleton will be held January 24 at 6:30 pm in form of a pot luck supper. -Everyone , bring a favourite dish, dishes and cutlery: A meeting will follow at the hprr,e of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Deeves.
