Starting January 15, the club will ` meet. for girls and g 11 children 4, 5 and 6 years of age from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.zn, . On Thursday evenings the: boys will be able to join ' in the Come Alive Club from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. There will also be a new ern --klub formed called Young: Peoples, open ti) kids 12 and over. This group will. meet on Thursday nights starting at 8:30 p.m. Helpful Hints If •you suffer from cold feet while travelling or sitting at home, set your feet in a large . grocery bag. It will serve as a good insulation to prevent drafts and hold in the heat. • Try switching duties with your children. Do one of their chores in exchange for one -of' yours. Banish yellow from white hair on both humans 'and pets by mixing 2 tablespoons of liquid laundry bluing with 21/2 quarts lukewarm water. . After'you shampoo and rinse, pour 'the solution over"tlie hair, count to- ten, and rinse. Avoid getting it in the. eyes and ears. This can be repeated when necessary. Enjoy eating out? Try having weekend break- fasts out - it's easier on - .the budget than dinner. Sharon's ' Recipe Corner Deluxe Casserole 8- 'oz. pkg. egg' ,noodles (boil as directed ori pkg.) 2 lbs. ground beef 1 lb. ground pork 3 cooking onions Sauce 4 tbsp. butter 3 oz. Philadelphia cream cheese 2 tbsp.• granulated sugar ' 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 2 tins sliced mushrooms cold water for each. Pour into separate -8" pans. Chill until firm. Heat 1 cup pineapple juice and %4'°cup sugar to boiling. Remove from heat and add, the pkg. of lemon jello. Stir until dissolved: and •add 1/2 cup cold :water. Chill until syrupy. Dream Whip Prepare strawberry, lime and cherry jello separately using 1 cup boiling water and 1/2 cup Prepare two "pkgs. ,bream Whip according to .pkg. directions grid fold in the syrupylemon jello. Cut the firrn lime, strawberry and cherry. -jello into 1/2" cubes. Fold into Dream' Whip mix7. ture. Pour into crust. Chill until firm. Serves 16: Keep a few jello, squares for decorating the top. Rec Centre The 'Vanastra Recreation Centre started its Winter' 198,0 program on Monday., January 7. The classes run once a week for ten' weeks Classes include learn to' swim programs for adults and children, yoga, fitness classes - for men and women, health spa classes for women and kinder swims _ for youngsters under five. years of age. Recreation swims are scheduled every day. In a statement issued on January 2,• the Seafo,rth council said, "Seaforth Police Chief, John Cairns, has been suspended viith pay, pending the outcome of a hearing before a County ,Court Judge, in aC- ,cordance with the Police Act." The decision was made in an in -camera hearing on the Matter 'by.Council members on 'December 29.
