Stangs down again
By Bryan Marriage
The Clinton Mustangs
dropped two more games
last weekend, to run their
winless streak now to five
games in a row.
Last Friday night the
Wingham Ironmen were
in town and handed the
Mustangs a 5-3 defeat,
The 1VIustangs opened the
scoring on a goal by Steve
Arbour and the Ironmen
tied it up with six seconds
remaining in the period.
The second period
belonged to Wingham as
they scored three
unanswered goals to take
a 4-1 lead into the third
period. The Ironmen
opened the scoring in the,
third period, but the
Stangs managed to score
twice, late in the period to
end the game 5-3. Dave
Stephenson and Phil
Arthur tallied for the
Stangs.
Last Sunday, the
Mustangs suffered their
worst beating of the
season. The Port Elgin
Bears handed the Stangs
a 10-1 shellacking.
Ironically, the Mustangs
scored first in the contest

comments from Seaforth

Sarnia, Ilderton and
Harriston were the host

one came home as
winners, all seem to
agree on one thing -
Bonspieling is great, a
Mixture of outstanding
sociability and keen
competition.
In Sarnia for the
Imperial Oil Spiel, Dave
• Cornish skipped his rink
to two wins and two losses
against teams from
Chatham, Milwaukee
Wis., Wallaceburg and
Midland Mich. The

whoever drove home
didn't have to make any
sudden stops.
