The parade made , up pf regular, associate, 4f- fillate and Ladies Auxiliary members headed pp- by 'our Legion Pipe Band was followed by our Legion color party and parade members, The *service was con- ducted by the Reverend T.A.A. Duke with the theme of the service being "The Value of W(reaths were placed by Comrade Bob Morgan and Comrade Bob Homuth. The Last Post and Reveille were played by Robert Parr of Clin- ton, filling in for regular bugler Corrirade John Wiseo Following the service, the parade returned to the Branch where they enjoyed a light lunch provided by the leflovers of the previous TGIF and the Nov. 2nd Harvest Dance. The past t week was 'active with our now regular men's eu.chre night en Tuesday with 12 tables in action. Winning the high score with a perfect night was Comrade Mac Cameron with 90 out of a possible 90. Low score went to Jim Turner with a 50 score, while the most lone hands department was tied at six by Al Park and Bert Garrett. On Thursday evening we had a triple header with our normal Bingo in the Auditorium, mixed darts in our lower lounges, and a Zone Membership Seminar. Heading up the Zone Seminar on membership Rowe and district chairman Herman Young. Twelve Comrades were in attendance, four of them from our Branch. It was Eric Switzer's team in action for the bingo with Steve Cooke pinch hitting for Eric. Seventy-four bingo players were oh hand for the evening. Winning the $200 jackpot were three ladies who split the prize, Val Miller, Betty Bell and Vera Bennett. Our dart league was 'again active with 21 participants on hand for the evening. Winning the couples event was Brenda Atkinson and Terry Hollinshead. The high .ladies event went to Rosemary Armstrong and the high men's event went to George Yeats. MARYS - Grade 12 home economics students at the St. Marys high g,choel are having a hard tY,,i4le keeping up with the demand for nut snacks they have been preparing for their fellow students. It's obvious that the health food snacks are popular for students. They sell at 35 cents a pack, and are bringing in an average of $55 a day. . The idea behind the health food snacks was offered as part of the recent Nutrition Week. Schools in Ontario were encourgaed to participate in the week to bring at- tention to the imporfance of proper nutrition and to help assess the nutritional stan.dards of young Canadians.
