The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Hodgins of Clinton and the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Wilmott of London. For the double ring ceremony, conducted by Rev. Douglas Warren, the bride Wore a Vic- torian styled gown that featured a p!arl em- broidered bodice and jacket and long flowing train. She wore a Vic- tor -jai hat and veil and carried a bouquet of gardenias and car- nations. A friend of the bride, Elizabeth Evans of Kitchener was the matron of honor. She wore a floor -length, dusty rose colored gown and` cape. The dress and the cape featured a tulip styled ruffle. To complete her outfit, she carried a bouquet of pink verigated miniature carnations. Hodgins -Wilmott Sharon B.risebois, a friend of the bride and Rachel Chandler, a cousin of the bride, both from London were bridesmaids. They wore dresses identical to the matron of honor's. Best man for the ceremony was Kim Hodgins, a brother of the - groom,' from Clinton arid guests wererush.ered into the church by the groom's brother-in-law, Peter Postrna of Clinton and a friend of the groom, William Collins of Ripley. Pink miniature car- nations decorated the Holiday Inn City Centre in London for a dinner and reception following the wedding. For the occasion the bride's mother wore a floor length teal blue colored dress, which featured a blouson styled top. Her outfit was completed with a corasge of yellow roses. The groom. -'s. mother wore a long dusty rose colored dress and crystal pleated. jacket. She wore a cor- sage of vanilla colored roses. Guests at the wedding came from England, Buffalo, London, Clinton, Londesboro, Calgary, Goderich, Lucknow and Ripley. Before settling into their London home, the Hodgins honeymooned at Paradise Island in the Bahamas. Jane Leeming, daughter of Mr. William Leeming and the late Ethel Leeming of RR 1, Seaforth and Tom Robinson, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Robinson of Clinton were married in a double ring ceremony at Goshen United Church on Sept. 8 at 4:00 p.m. Rev. Wilena Brown officiated. The maid of honour was Pat Bremner of Sarnia and the bridesmaids were Marg McBride of Chatham and Rose -Mary Rzeplinski of Toronto. ;The flowergiils were Kathy and Nancy Brady of Sarnia, nieces of the bride. The groomsman was Paul Robinson of California, brother of the groom and ushers were Garnet McBride of Chatham and Robert Leeming of RR 1, Seaforth, brother of the bride. The organist was Mrs. Anna Keys and the soloist was Graeme Craig. Following their wedding trip to Northern Ontario the couple took up residence in Toronto. The bride was honoured with several showers given by friends and relatives prior to her marriage. (Photo by Wassman) Deaths in Clinton and surrounding area CLIVE ALLIN Clive Henry Ailin of Apartment 21, 177 Albert Street, Clinton died in Clinton Public Hospital on Friday, November 2 at the age of 74. He was born on June 14, 1905 in Colborne Town- ship to Charles and Charlotte (Morrish) Allen. After his marriage to Phyllis Thelma Bean in Walton on•` July 11, 1945, he farmed for several years. He and his wife also ran the switchboard. at Carlow for 15 years until the exchange was taken over by Bell Canada. The late Mr. Allin lived in Colborne Township until moving to Clinton eight years ago. He was a member of Ontario Street United Church, Clinton. He is ;survived by his wife; three children, Ray of Goderich, Mrs. George (Brenda) Vanderburgh of Goderich and Wayne of R.R. 1 Blyth; one brother, Arnold of Goderich; and three grandchildren. A funeral service was held at Stiles Funeral Home in Goderich on Monday; November 5 at 2 p.m. The Reverend R. Norman Pick officiated. Interment was n Colborne -Cemetery. WILLIAM JOHN CRAIG William John (Baseball Bill) Craig of Auburn died in AlexandraMarine and General Hospital on Monday, October 29 at the age of 85. He was born on April 8, 1894 in West Wawanosh Township to Edward and Dinah (Robinson) Craig. He worked as a car- penter. He was a life member and past master of Morning Star . Lodge no. 309, A.F. and A.M. He married Ellen Jane Stalker. She predeceased him. He was also. predeceased by one son, Allan. He is survived by five children, Mrs. S.G. (Dorothy) Strasser of Ontario, California, Robert of Lucan, Mrs. Harry (Ila) Worsell of Goderich, Betty Wilkin of Goderich, and William 5. of Clanton; one .sister, Mrs. Olive McVittie of Campbellford, -Ontario; 16 grandchildren; and nine great- grandchildren. They were then entertained by the Million Trio consisting of Lori, Steven and Irene Million of Auburn. Bessie Black gave a reading. Everybody Was given 'a slip of paper and wrote down three things •which you, were thankful for and three . things which you were not thankful for. The group was divided into two groups by Marianne ;Colclough and six questions pertaining to the scripture were an- swered and discussed. Evelyn Merrill closed devotions with the con- cluding remarks. The trio sang two more numbers and t` o films on Japan were shown. One �n the Japanese farmer and the industrial workers of Japan. The roll call was answered by 21 present and hospital calls were 74 and home calls 14. The treasurer's report was read by Helen Aiken and seconded by Valeir Mair. A number of members are to look after the hospital cart in December and some members are to make turkey pies for the bazaar on November 17.
