The accident happened while he was returning from .work. Russell Good is a patient in University Hospital. He was ad- mitted on Sunday and will be undergoing tests. Julie Scott of Goderich spent the weekend with her grandmother, Mrs. Jim Scott. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Jervis of Clinton visited Mrs. Scott on Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Scott spent the weekend in Toronto. John Radford was admitted to Clinton hospital Saturday where he will undergo tests. Congratulations to Patricia Burns and Ed Pitkin, who were married in our church on October 27. After a reception at the White Carnation, the newlyweds left for their new home in B.C. Marjorie Anderson and Margaret Taylor were guests at a meeting of the Tiger Dunlop Women's Institute on October 25. Shuffleboard begins on November 7 at 8 pm in the hall. Everyone is welcome to join in. Thelma Ellerby and Vera Gibbings of Clinton, along with Laura Saundercock and Dora Shobbrook attended the trosseau tea on Saturday at Marilyn Bridges' in Wingham. The tea was held in honor of her daughter Sharon Shob- brook. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Carter and Colleen returned home last week following a two-week vacation'- in southern California. While there, the Carters toured the Los Angeles area, Hollywood and Palm Springs. They then motored to San Fransisco by the Pacific Coast high- way. The Carters were visited by their daughter 31. Shower for Pat Burns The ladies of the village gathered for an evening shower at the church on October 24. The event honored Pat Burns, bride -elect for October 27. After everyone introduced themselves, Pat in- troduced her sister Betty Smith, her niece Vicky Dahner and grandniece Kerri Lee from Kin- cardine. Mrs. Allen played the piano for a sing song, led by Mrs. Duizer. Several games were played and won by Margaret Good and Clara Riley. Readings were given by Edythe Beacom. Mrs. Allen then gave an ad - ,dress to Pat and gifts were presented by Karen Johnston, Jennifer Sottiaux and Deana Lyon. Pat offered her thanks for the gifts and the lovely evening and in- vited anyone travelling in B.C. to drop in and see them in Victoria. The students also saw an authentic mummy. The students had their On Monday, October 22 the grade 8 class watched Mr. Riley the Grade 6 teacher demonstrate shoeing a horse. They watched him clean the hoof, cut off excess toenail and file it smooth. He showed them dif- ferent shoes, nails and. tools used.
