Meeting 1 of the Clinton
I, 4-H club was held at the
home of ourclub's
assistant leader, Mrs.
Marsh. There the group
learned the different
types of canvas, the
different types of wool
and which needle to use.
Next, Mrs. Marsh and
Mrs. Forbes taught the
group how to hind the
canvas with masking
tape and then the
members had to discuss
and select a colour code.
At the end, of the
meeting Mrs. Marsh
served juice and cookies.
Meeting 2 was held at
the home of Julie Taylor.
There the group was
taught how to thread a
needle. The group
members had a choice -
make a pillow or -make
six coasters. The group's
first two stitches to be
learned were the Gobelin
and the continental_.
stitch.
The group had to select
a monogram to put on it.
We found the club's
name. It is "perfect
pointers". At the end of
the meeting juice and
cheese curds were ser-
ved.
Under the leadership of
Mrs. Marlene Forbes,
meeting 3 was held at the
home of Angela Govier.
There the group was
taught how to make a
colour scheme.
After this the club
started working on the
Eargeflo stitch and the
cross stitch.
Meeting 4 was held at
Cheryl Armstrong's.
First of all, the club was
asked for any ideas we
may have for our club's
presentation at
Achievement Day, but we
didn't have any ideas.
The group was taught
the SC'oteh and cashmere.
stitch. 4fter the meeting,
Cheryl served lemonade
and au cakes.
