Gospel, Rev. Wm.
Bennett gave the sermon
And the offering was
received by Edward Wise
and Edward Deeves.
The 1980 Canadian
Church Calendars will be
here shortly, and as in
years past, the funds
raised :will be used to
support the work of the
Anglican Church Women
from the churches in the
parish. We hope that
every member of the
Parish will obtain copies
for their home - an ex-
cellent Christmas gift
thit will last all year.
Large mailing envelopes
are also available.

Women
The ladies of St. James
met for their October
meeting at the home of
Delores Dutot. Blanche
Deeves was in charge and
opened the meeting by
welcoming the ladies, one
visitor •and a new
member, Joanne Wain.
Blanche thanked Delores
for opening her home for
the meeting. Vera Miller
reada porn and Blanche
read the Invocation. Vera
read the scripture and the
meditation was read by
Blanche..
Shirley Storey read the
minutes of the last
meeting, and the
treasurer's report was
presented by Vera Miller.
Lois- Wise gave a report
on our new Foster Child,
with a picture for the
ladies to see. The
correspondence was read
including a letter from
the blind at which time a ,
donation will be sent.
Blanche gave the social
report. An invitation was
received from the No. 4
Community club to go on
a bus trip Elmirai.
-October 23. The bus will
leave the Clinton arena at
8:14 a.m.
Blanche Deeves asked
Mrs. Jeanne Bennett for
her talk on Australia
which was ,enjoyed by
all, and --Mrs. Fred
Middleton thanked Mrs.
Bennett. Pennies were
gathered with the two
captains telling of their
collection with Marion
Smith's team - winning
over Estelle Wise. New
captains for next year
were chosen: Lois Wise
and Vera Miller. Lunch
was served by the hostess
assisted by Estelle Wise.
Personals
Our get well wishes go
out to Mrs. Mabel Mid-
dleton, who has been in
Clinton Hospital, and also
to Jeffery Wain who was
in St. Joseph's Hospital,
London.
Joanne and Bob en-
• tertained their . friends
and family to a lunch
following the Baptism
service on Sunday.
Mr. Charlie Cooper of
Midland has been a
visitor with Delores and
Alvin Dutot, where he is
visiting with old friends
and neighbours. Many
went to the Dutots' for an
evening of cards.
Many were out on
Friday evening at the
White Carnation to help
Harold and Donna.
Tyndall Celebrate their
40th wedding an-
niversary. Betty and
Ross Feagan acted as
hostess and host for the
evening.
