home with their cousin,

Mrs. Wilfred Ross' has
returned home from
" London Hospital.

attended the 50th Wed-
ding Anniversary
celebrations for Mr. and
Mrs. Gordon Richardson
last Friday night at
Seaforth.
On Sunday, John and
Barb Moffat attended the
40th Wedding Anniver-
sary dinner for Barb's
parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Crow, of Brantford.
Congratulations to Mrs.
Crow, who was recently
the recipient of a brand
new car in a lucky draw.
Mr. and Mrs. William
Pepper visited Sunday
with Mrs. Pepper's sister
at Harriston and visited
with son Bert and family
at Newstead.
We are pleased to
report that Mrs. Mary
Haugh returned home
from the hospital on
Saturday.
. Mr. and Mrs. Erwin
Sillery enjoyed a motor
trip to the Maritime
Provinces, thoroughly
enjoying the Cabot Trail
and its beautiful colours
of autumn.
They visited with
relatives in Halifax and
Kingston, meeting up
with a snowstorm in
Northern Quebec. They
also visited a town in
Quebec named "Sillery"
and the` townsfolk were
thrilled to have them stop
for a' visit, and review
back history of-tWfamily
name.
Local calves best
Young people in the
area belonging to the 4-H
Beef Calf Club had a
beautiful day . to show
their calves at Seaforth,
Fair. Mary Gibson got
first for her calf, with
brother Bill right behind
her in second standing.
Third and fourth placings
went to David and Julie
Townsend.
There was also a great
selection of rabbits shown
by club members. A draw
on rabbit and cage was.

mothers what good. hit-
ters they can be, but the
game ended in a tie.
A wiener roast
followed; a perfect way
to end a good season of
ball.
