TWYFORD
In loving memory of Tom
Twyford who passed away
on September 27, 1976:
"Thy will be done" seems
hard to say,
When one we love has passed
away,
Some day perhaps we'll
understand,
.When we meet again in the
better land.
He has not left the ones he
loved,
Nor has he travelled far,
Just entered into God's
lovely room,
And left the door ajar.
Lovingly remembered by

FLYNN
We sincerely wish to thank
all our friends and neigh-
bours and anyone who
assisted us in any way at our
time of disaster. All those
wonderful people who gave
gifts, assisted us financially,
gave us moral support with
words of kindness, helped us
rebuild and made last
Friday, September 21 at the
Clinton Legion a night we
will never forget. Due to
some great people with a
rolling home and people
looking after our plumbing
and facilities, we never even
had to leave home. Thank
you. The Hugh Flynn
Family. -39x

Friday evening was
also the night that the
Monster Bingo workers
gathered in our ladies'
lounge for a much
deserved evening of
enjoyment and
comradeship. The
gathering was overjoyed
.with the Hip Of Beef
,lunch prepared by yours
truly and carved by our
expert Comrade Bill
Chambers. Another'
successful evening for-
our
or
our branch, our thanks to
all those on the bingo
committee who helped to
make the evening so
successful. Monster
Bingo Chairman Joe
Daer presented • a
financial statement on
the status of the swim-
ming pool fund which
indicated that our service
clubs have now amassed
a total of over $38,000 for
the replacement of our
pool.
• •While . all this was
transpiring in our lower
lounges, the auditorium
was an overcrowded
scene with well wishers
bearing gifts for the Hugh
Flynn family who lost
their house and
possessions in a
devastating fire. Our
,Legion facilities, services
and support goods were
donated to- the Hugh
Flynn family to the tune
of $300. This was con-
sidered only fair as the
Flynns in our area have
supported us in many
instances with weddings
and anniversaries. A11
told the revenue from
donations and bar
receipts totalled over
$2,500 on the occasion of
this fund raising benefit
dance which was
spearheaded by Mr. and
Mrs. John Spence with
the assistance of many
relatives and friends. We
hope that our small effort
will prove • beneficial to
Hugh' and his family and
wish 'them much -success
in their rebuilding
program. Our thanks to
Comrades- Terry
Hollinshead, Brian
Atkinson, and Billy Cox
for taking care of the
bartending duties and
taking care of the needs
of all the guests.
Saturday evening was
again a busy auditorium
with the Country Singles
Club holding another
Singles Dance in our
branch facilities. Another
successful evening with
thanks for this one going
to "Col ratras'' `Fiiaiik and
Kaye Pyke and Steve
Maguire for tending to
the needs of our singles
guests. Our thanks to the
Country Singles Club
Executive body for
making use of our
facilities, you are
welcome back anytime:
With all the cleaning,
which is a result of many
functions we had last
.week, it would have been
animpossible task for me
alone, so my thanks goes
to Comrades Ron Gonie
and Ed Porter for being

Local clubs are playing
an important part in the
social life of the blind in
our area. It is helpful for
these people and
volunteers to get together
at social evenings, pic-
nics and dinners, where
they can meet old friends,
meet new ones and
discuss problems.
Probably there is a
neighbour or friend near
you who could benefit
from the services of the
CNIB. If you know of such
