The Magic Circle
Wesley -Willis UCW
gathered at the home of
Helen Davies for their
September meeting,
when Jean Currie chaired
the business part and
after the secretary's and
treasurer's reports .were
accepted, announced that
Mary Murch, Mary Dale
and Billy Stewart will
take charge of the
October meeting.
Social Convenor Ruth
Bond asked for donations
of food and volunteers to
help at coming functions.
The bazaar was
discussed and a need for
men's work socks, broom
handles, plastic bags and
cotton materials, was
expressed. More pies and
breads would be welcome
at the bake table.
Speaker for the evening
was Mrs. Audrey Kemp,
who was our lone
delegate to Alma
Colleg.e's Leadership
training in August. The
theme was "Discover a
New Joy" and Audrey
told of the many ways
this theme was worked
into each day's program.
Mary Cole expressed
the group's appreciation.
Alta 'Lind Rodge's and
Marg Cole assisted the
hostess during the social
time.

attendance and
treasurer's reports were
given, and minutes were
read. The roll call was
answered, and everyone
told their favorite color.
We choose as,.,our club
name the Nift iNeedlers.
The leaders took over
• the meeting. We read up
on design and color. The
leaders showed and
helped with the gobelin
stitch, then the bargeliie,
and the cross stitch.
Some thought the cross
stitch was very con-
fusing, but after ti while
most got the hang of It.
The meeting closed with
the motto and refresh-
ments ere served.
