Sharon's recipe corner
Are you housebreaking
a puppy? Try hanging a
bell by a rubber band (so
that it'll bounce) from a
doorknob. Every time
you take the puppy
outside to "perform",
ring the bell. He'll soon be
able to tell you when he
needs to go out.
If postage stamps stick
together they'll come
apart easily if they are
put in the freezer for 15
minutes.
Ties for tomatoes and
other plants can be made
from .old pantyhose or
stockings. Cut the nylons
lengthwise, and you have
sturdy ties that won't cut
into the stalks. Old
pantyhose can also be
used to tie trash together
such as bundles of old
branches. They serve as
strong elastic ropes.

According to London
Free Press, Vanastra is
not the best place to live;
but we have found that in
a time of need people
couldn't do enough 'to
help. If -this is a.bad en-
vironment, what do you
consider a good one? A
person has to live.` in
Vanastra to realize. just
what a good community it
is.
Many of our neighbors
have lived in other parts
of Ontario, but have
found Vanastra the best
place to live. Many of the
Easterners, especially
ourselves, wouldn't •leave
Vanastra except to go
back East. -by Diane an, d
